Upstream Zine deadline - Monday 9th December
The Upstream team have been working very hard on the final issue for 2019. We still have a few pages left to fill and would love for some students who haven't been involved before to contribute something.

We still need some stories, reports, articles, interviews, poems or other written pieces. In particular, we'd love a prep or two to let us know how their Merri Merri Creek excursions have gone, and for some creative kids who've been involved with the Slow Art Bamboo Shed to write something about that too.

Please come along to an Upstream meeting at lunch time on Mondays in the art room.

The deadline is the 9th of December, so get writing Moreland PS!

BIG news!!!

This week, after some amazing sessions with Uncle Bill, our creekulum program is officially finished! But this is not the end, there will be end of year events and early next year we’ll get to paint a big mural to share what we’ve learned with the wider community.

Living with birds

As you all know we humans are not alone at MPS grounds. Amongst the million (or gazillion!) organisms that we share MPS with, there’s a family of Masked Lapwings (AKA plovers) that come to school every year to nest, and we wonder how to make our school a hospitable place for them to flourish? Next Wednesday 20th at lunchtime (11:15-12:00) ecologist Raoul Mulder (Orla’s dad) will come to school to have a yarn with everyone who would like to share ideas about living with others - all welcome!
